"Hey fam! Ttodo bien here in Carrillo Puerto..(actually I'm in Chetumal right now) so I had another crazy critter experience this week ... haha Yesterday after church we were in the house of Hermana Nori eating and I was on the phone talking to the branch president when all of a sudden on the wall behind Nori´s head there was a huge lizard the size of a small alligator... it was seriously the biggest lizard I have ever seen that's not an alligator!! We all stood up and then it dropped to the ground... we of course all screamed like girls and jumped on our chairs... then the kid of the family knocked it out and grabbed it and took it outside... then it revived and tried to run in the house so the kid handed me a machete and I chopped its head off!!! It was the coolest thing! It was seriously like a big rattlesnake but with legs!! They say its called a salamander... it is the nastiest thing I have ever seen... but it was pretty sweet to chop its head off...

The work is also going pretty good here... we have the baptism of Miguel on the 17th,.... he is so so so awesome.. I´m not sure if I told y'all the story of him.. he is the nephew of some members and was in a gang and a drug addict but then they brought him to church one day and we started teaching him and he has completely changed!!!
He is way excited and yesterday we were talking about how after a year of being a member he can go on a mission (he is 19) and he thought that was pretty cool! That would be awesome! Also, on the 24th we are baptizing another youth that is Potente! He walks by himself to church every week!!! It's really hard to find new people here, but we're workin on it.. sounds like life is busy but good there...

Last night we left Carrillo Puerto and stayed the night with the zone leaders here in Chetumal so that we could play soccer as a zone this morning.. .none of us has seriously ran in A LONG TIME... lol but we had fun! It was a good thing that we left, too, cuz on the 4th there were elections and this one candidate lost but now he is saying the other guy cheated and now last night there were a ton of péople in the streets with machetes and soldiers with guns .. they probably had a riot... they were waiting for the verdict of who really won... if the other guy won I guarantee you something big went down there last night.. We might come home tonight to a bloody mess... but that is the way it is here in Mexico... corrupt, scary, and crazy... But, we will be ok that's for sure...

Another really funny story:

lol So where we live the branch presidents house is like connected to our house by this covered walkway.. well they have a dog that lives there that is called Brisa... lol She is this little yipper dog that gets afraid of everything! When the storms come and there is thunder, if our door is open she comes scurrying in our house and hides under our couch! Well the other morning a HUGE thunder storm came in and she ran in as usual and hid under the couch! But then another HUGE thunder struck and she ran out from under the couch and jumped in my comp´s boxes and tried to dig her self in as deep is she could. It was so funny! Here is a picture...

So I guess they made a new Preach My Gospel and added a ton of stuff.. so the 26th to the 31st of this month in Cancun all the leaders of the mission and the people who will be training new missonaries the next change will have a 5 day conference with President Salinas to learn the new stuff that has came out... THAT WOULD BE SO COOL! Nobody knows who will be training next change they are just going to call and invite the people who are supposed to go... so, we´ll see what happens. Have a great week!"
