"Hey Fam! Enjoyed the letters!!! I'm very excited cuz I got changed again last week!!!
I have been banished to the southern corner of the mission!!! I´m in a tiny tiny little town called Carrillo Puerto (car eeh oh) its a little town about two hours from Chetumal, which is the capital of quintana roo.... its so so cool!!! It's nothing more than a village... it's about the size of Ely!! All the roads are dirt and all the houses are huts... its IN THE MIDDLE OF THE JUNGLE!!! Finally, after 9 months in the mission I am in the boonies!!! haha The only store in Carrillo is like the equivalent of a Rite Aid... so every Monday we have to come here to Chetumal to write, shop and for district meeting... 2 hours here and two hours back each Monday!!! It is just a little branch here with about 40 people... its cool... we struggled bringing investigators to church, so we will have to work super hard this week...
My companions name is Elder Rose, he is a good ol boy from Anabella, Utah.. which is just outside of Richfield.. haha We have alot of the same interests, hiking and fishing and things like that... he is really cool.
There is SO MUCH WILDLIFE HERE!!!! In the last few days I have seen things run across my path like turtles, toads, frogs, geckos, ducks, turkeys, roosters and all kinds of stuff!!!
There is also this one lizard that is like a little dinosuar!!! It runs on two legs!!! It's like a baby t rex!!! It is the craziest thing I have ever seen!!!
Our house is a tiny two room house... not two bedroom, literally two rooms! haha But it's cozy and has a shower at least and a washing machine,(which doesnt hardly work) but yeah it has rained here every day this entire week.... its crazy alot of people's houses (huts) are flooded... they are forecasting a bunch of hurricanes for this year! We will see what happens...
The mission work here is a little slow, but we're workin on that little by little... it's so cool to go tracting - you just take off into the woods on a little dirt trail and call at the door of little huts scattered in the woods... its sweet!!!
I hope all is well there.
Have fun and don't forget to write!!!!"
