"What a crazy week!!! First, at zone conference, the pres was talking, stopped, and completely changed what he was saying... he said he feels like we needed to up our goal for the month of April... you see, President Johnson, the area president, has asked that each companionship in all the missions in mexico baptize 15 a month... thats crazy!!! We tore it up in February and baptized 5!!!! So anyways, President Cardenas told us that he has each and every one of us in this zone for a reason!!! And that he knows that if we all do what we are supposed to do and work super hard he promised us all we will be able to complete!!! He also said that there will no longer be anymore changes in our zone until May!!! Yes!!! That means even if they do call me to be secretary it wont be until May! Yes!!! haha Anyways, we are working our little butts off!!! It's not about the number, but it would be so cool to actually help that many people baptize and join the true church in April! What a b-day present!!!
So we had a really cool experience this week! Wed morning we had an appointment clear out at the limits of our area at ten in the morning... so we left the house and traveled forever on bus to get there, and he wasnt there! We were so mad!!! We both said... well that was a waste of time... then we were walking down the street and we saw a member of our ward who stopped us and said she had a reference for us.. .it was really cool... it is a testimony that the Lord has his hands in all things and that everything we do and everywhere we go is for a reason...
We also had this really cool lesson with this girl we're working with... the lesson wasn´t going good but the spirit was really strong for some reason that night and we both felt like we should take the lesson back to the restoration so that she could understand how important it was... it was so cool!!!! we also had a lesson on the stairs of an apartment building and taught like three people at the same time!!! haha also this huge drunk guy asked us to help him push his car and we pushed it like 13 blocks !! it was crazy!!! he was so drunk and almost killed us a few times with his steering!!! but it was way cool and I know that we´ll get tons of blessings for it... he also told us he wants to change so we took out a reference too..we also had another baptism this week! it was awesome...
so we were teaching this one family and they really didnt accept but then one day we found their son, who is 19... his name is Carlos.. he was like a total G... like earings tats everything... to be honest I was scared of him at first... but honestly it was amazing to watch the gospel change his life... with each commmandment we taught him he was willing to change it immediately!!! we baptized him yesterday!!! and he gave a hard core testimony after! he is so cool!!! we´re hoping he will want to go on a mission!!!
All is good here. It's starting to get really hot though, and spring break has started so there are all kinds of crazy half naked americans running around.... we just pretend we don´t speak English usually when they try to talk to us... they must think we´re Spaniards or Argentinian or something (white skin)"
