MARCH 8

"Hey!!!! So this week was really crazy!!!! We woke up at six o clock to a phone call from the AP telling us that we had special changes... Elder Elledge got shipped off to Merida... again!! haha He is so mad it is in the same district as his first area!!! Also after the asistant gave the changes to Elder Elledge he asked to speak to me... AAAHH!!! he said.. Elder Eddington! How are you and all that... then he asked me... have you learned Spanish really well? I said ... yes.. and he said.. ok... do you know how to work a computer? .... yes... and he said... can you drive a car?.... I said, yes... and can you work under stress ? ... I said... I think so..

After he had asked me all these questions he said .. ok great thanks Elder Eddington, we´ll talk to ya later!!!

And I was like... ok ? and so anyways after that I went with the zone leaders for two days while I was waiting for my new companion to get here from Cancun... and I asked them about it.. .like why he would ask me all those weird questions... they told me that the president is looking for a new secretary of the mission!!!! when they told me that my heart dropped into my stomach... that is the most stressful ridiculous job in the mission!!! So basically in the offices you have the president, the ap´s, or assistants to the pres, and the secretary of finance, and then the secretarty of the mission... his responibility is... well basically everything... travel, mail, records, changes, new missionaries, everything!!!!! You have to drive the huge mission van all across the whole mission!!! Honestly if they call me for this I´m not going to be able to handle it... he said they had me and a few other options they were looking at... so basically I´m praying it doesn´t happen... I CAN NOT DRIVE IN MEXICO!!!!! It is so crazy!!! I´m not even organized enough to run an entire mission!!! No way!!! I´m almost sure they´re going to choose one of the other options they have cuz I know the Lord never gives us anything we can´t handle and I DEFINITELY CAN'T HANDLE this job!!! Elder Lambertsen, the last secretary, went in as secretary with a full head of hair, and now, six monts later.... bald!!!! But anyway enough about that... I won't even find out until the changes on april 4th anyways... so yeah.. wow!!

But anyways, a little about my new comp, he is from Layton, Utah, and he only has 2 months left on the mission... it is actually really cool cuz he speaks Spanish crazy good! He is teaching me tons! I get along with this guy SO MUCH BETTER than Elder Elledge! Elder Elledge left and this guy came and I got to know him it was like a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders!!! I worked and prayed everyday hard to be able to get along and teach with Elder Elledge... so yeah these next four weeks are going to be really cool!

We have another baptism the 14th... his name is Carlos and he is 19.. We´re hoping he´ll want to go on a mission... that would be so cool!! This guy has experienced conversion!!!! He has been living with his girlfriend for 5 years... and as soon as we taught the law of chastity he said... Well ok I guess I´ll have to talk with my girlfriend then!! And yeah, they aren´t living together anymore!!! He is awesome I'm really excited!!!

Everything is good here!!! Health, everything!!! I´m a little dizzy and scared from all this new stuff and for the upcoming change, but all is in the Lord's hands."
