"Hey fam!!! So all is well here.. except for my skin is pretty bad on my arms, and I can't find the prescription you sent anywhere here (as in none of the pharmacies have it) so thats pretty lame.. its the olux.. so can you maybe get it for me there and send it in a package! I need it BAD!! haha but as far as health everthing else is fine! I got a little stomach infection earlier this week but other than that all is well! haha im better now!

So we had a baptism this week, it was really awesome cuz she was the only one in her fam who hadnt been baptized herself yet.... we also have another baptism the 26th con un hermano who is the husband of a member but isnt a member... so we're completing tons of fams this month its way cool!

We've also been giving blessings like crazy this week its been pretty cool... its actually gotten pretty cold here! (68 degrees) but thats pretty cold when youre used to ninety everyday! haha so my companion has had the flu bad all this week :(

Spiritual moment: one of our recent converts, Jose, hasnt been to church in three weeks. we went to visit him to find out whats up, and we found out his wife is really anti mormon and doesnt want him to go to church.. but apparently this sunday he laid it on the line for her and said he knew this church was true, and that it had brought him more happiness in a few weeks than he had had in his whole life! This gospel changes people´s lives ! It is changing mine, and I see it changing the lives of our investigators every day! Martin, the man we are baptising the 26th , when we started was a very hard hearted man.. never smiled showed any emotion, was a grump , drank, all that.. in just one month he is a happy talkative man, he plays and talks with his baby, he is like a completely different person!!!

THE GOSPEL CHANGES LIVES!!! Even for us members it can change us every day if we strive for it! i want you all to read the talk by elder watson from conference called ¨temperate in all things ¨ its great!!! that is what i´ve been really striving to get here in the field.. is temperance!!! patience, humility , everything! it´s really hard , especially living with a companion 24/7, but it is possible!

So, this week has been a little sad, seeing all the Christmas lights and trees and everything, it makes me think about Christmases at home, and although i won´t be there this year i know you guys will have a great time! just a little note... for the first time in my life, I have realized what Christmas is about... its not about gifts, or food, or anything like that, yeah those are great... but the really great thing about Christmas that the people here have taught me is that for all of this month of december, we get to remember JESUS CHRIST. We can´t even fathom how much we are indebted to that man, and all he asks is to follow him.. so everyone, if you have a little time during all the Christmas crazyness... take a few minutes to sit and think about our Savior, it is the best present you can recieve.

As for the packages, we have interviews the 29th so i should get all of them then..

So I am going to call the 25th.. i´m not quite sure when, probably between 3 30 and 4 your time, but that is subject to change. Love you ! by the way! im still not getting any emails from ANYONE in our fam! paul, jen , wayne, nobody! So tell them if they want to give me a Christmas present they can start writing!"

Love, Elder E
