Wow! Another monday here and it is freakin hot!!! I have lost a lot of weight - none of my belts fit me anymore.. today is our last p day of this exchange... exchanges will be this next Monday and we will find out Sunday night what's going to happen... because I´m a noob chances are I'm going to stay in this same area for at least another change... which is fine cuz we are starting to have lots of people to teach. I might not be able to write until Tuesday next week, depending on what happens...
We only get packages twice a month... once when we have interviews with the president, and once when we have our zone conference. I'm pretty sure my electric razor got stolen out of my bag by one of the airport workers cuz it didn't make it to cancun with me. It's ok - I bought a normal blade and shaving cream and I actually like it more.
This has been a crazy week. The Lord has poured his blessings out upon us this week... We hadn't been able to find many people to teach so we have been fasting every Sunday... which means we start saturday after lunch. This Saturday we started fasting and had an appointment with an hermana we contacted on the street on Thursday... as soon as they opened the door we knew they were golden.. this hermanas name is allejandra.. she is 21 and has a 2 year old kid named angel. she is seperated from her husband but lives with her mother in law, margarita... so anyways we taught them lesson one... and they just accepted it like it was something they were learning in school... haha it was crazy. there was one funny part though... when we were talking about how God has called another prophet in our days, the older lady said.. YOU ARE PROPHETS!!! and we were like no no no no! We´re just missionaries! haha It was funny. We taught them all of lesson one and invited them to come to church the next morning, and they accepted. so we went and picked them up and took them with us to church.. that was cool. We then returned to teach them on sunday... wow! when we got there the mom lady started crying and said how grateful she was that we found her daughter on the street.. so of course after that we skipped right to lesson three and set a date to baptize the allejandra on the sixth of diciembre... it is awesome... the power of Ayuno is amazing!
Another really cool experience I had was Sunday after church, (we were still fasting so I was pretty dizzy) lol This lady asked us to give her daughter a blessing ... and of course she chose me, the gringo nooby to do it... haha once again I just put my hands on the daughters head with faith that somehow I'd be able to say something.. I was able to give her a blessing that said she would recover from whatever illness and she could run and play and stuff... it was cool. The lady said that yeah, I didn't speak good spanish but she could feel the spirit when we were talking. So that was really cool!
This drunk guy came by us and wanted us to buy some box he was selling. He got all mad and started swearing at us when we didn't wanna buy it ... It was pretty funny...after! Once we were safe in our house. I admit I was pretty much peeing my pants when it was happening. I was just waiting for him to pull a knife or something! It was a dirt road in Mexico in the dark! Just another witness that the Lord protects His missionaries!!!
